Zgierz for tourists
There are many interesting attractions in Zgierz that can attract many tourists. Starting from cultural centers, going through places of active recreation, up to the museum, we will take you on a journey to the mysterious world of our city.
There is a theater and a cinema in the MOK. Concerts are heldd there from time to time. You can attend workshops of the Zgierz Photographic Group, the Forge of Board Games, art workshops for children, teenagers and adults, there is also a bridge section, a Practical nowledge Study, as well as aerobics and dance classes.
Museum of the City of Zgierz – quoting from their own side “The history of the Zgierz institution dates back to 1978, when the Head of the City issued an order to establish the Museum of the City of Zgierz. The co-called “House under the Lions” was chosen as the seat. This facility was built in 1828 and served as residential, manufacturing and commercial purposes.”

MOSiR "Malinka"
Malinka is a bathing complex. In 2021, it was renovated and there are facilities such as football, voleyball and basketball courts, pumptruck, playground, pedal boats, restaurant, food trucks and of course a swimming pool.
Nowa Gdynia Station

City park named after Tadeusz Kościuszko
The city park is located in the center of Zgierz. In the central part of the park, there is Cylke’s pond with an island. From the marina located there, you can go canoes and boats. The pond is also a great place for enthusiasts of fishing. There is also a promenade and a bicycle path taht stretcharound the entire pond. You can also use the three routes of the rope park, a large themed playground for children, and an outdoor gym. In summer, the park often becomes a venuse for city outdoor events, incl. Zgierz Days or the End of Summer in Zgierz, where we can find food trucks with snacks and ice cream, and many concerts.
MOSiR Zgierz
MOSiR, i.e. the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, is a sports facility with a sports and entertainment hall, a sports hall, a fitness room for women, an archery hall, a wrestling hall, a football stadium, a football pitch for youth groups and archery courses.
Kitchen
The regional dishes of Zgierz are prażoki and zalewajka. Prażoki are potatoes with flour, served with onion and cracklings. For dessert, Zgierz offers cakes in the shape of hedgehogs.
